I Sold Two Items Today
I sold two items today on Etsy. Life is good. I’m trying to come up with an idea for wired up beady flowers that can be used as a pin or brooch. Watch this space…..

I just posted these to my Etsy Shop. I started bending a little curl and then a fish appeared. These are my second pair of fishy earrings and were so much fun to make. Now I’d like to figure out some other animals to make from wire. Maybe a cat or a frog. Hmmm…..

I’ve been so busy with Christmas preparations I haven’t had time to post. Shame on me. It’s been hectic but also fun. This weekend has been spent baking, baking, frosting, frosting. Wow! It’s brought back memories of when my mother would bake all those wonderful german Christmas cookies. Hopefully my sister and I did her proud. We made a batch of Spritz cookies and we did a huge batch of gingerbread. I still have to finish my marzipan balls but I cheat with those. I buy readymade marzipan. My mother used to make it with rose water, almonds which she ground up herself, and confectioner’s sugar. We always loved her marzipan.
I’ve also been making yo-yo Christmas trees as gifts for people at work. I followed the tutorial at Losabia’s blog
The trees were super easy and quick to make. Thanks for the tutorial!

I’m starting to get into the Christmas spirit with some baking. Well, not actually baking but getting the dough ready. It’s a gingerbread recipe that my mother used which she got from her mother. It’s in german so I’ll have to translate it first before I post it here if I can. It had a strange ingredient in it which I had to google to find out what potash is. It seems Baking Powder is an acceptable substitute so that is what I used. Now the dough has to sit for 8 days. Then my sister, my niece and I are going to have a baking party. Ah, Christmas memories always included wonderful baking smells!

Well, after much struggling, I’ve put together a website or at least the front page. I am still working on the other pages like a photo gallery which doesn’t want to work yet. And of course a Links and About Me page. It’s getting there. I have been using Coffee Cup Software . It came with my hosting package. There is alot of stuff in there. Most sounds like gobbledegook but I am beginning to make some sense out of it.
I wish I was creating some beady somethings but I wanted to get some more web presence out there. Now it’s off to upload some items to Etsy. Oops, I almost forgot. Here is the website www.berrybeady.com

Welcome to my little blog!. Yup, I finally joined the thousands? Millions? of bloggers out there in cyberspace. I hope to tell you about my beading and jewelry making adventures and also learn from from you along the way. This is all new to me. I have had an Etsy store for about a year but have also wanted to get a web presence with my own domain. It is still under construction while I attempt to learn some of this HTML stuff. It is very daunting but it is also fun learning.
